A marble or steel CONTRAPPESO keeps the lighting fixture in position. By winding the cable around the bitt on the counterweight it is possible to adjust the height of the lighting fixture. Moving the counterweight, the light source rotates around the suspension point, allowing points further away from the electrical output to be reached.

A concept as brilliant as it is elegant.
By winding or loosening the cable, the height of the light source is adjusted.
We have created a special cable: the power wire is coupled with a flexible stainless steel cable, all wrapped in black fabric. By winding it around the cleat, the power cable, the light body rises and falls with a simple and intuitive gesture. The leather loop secures and stops the cable in position.
By moving the base,
the lamp can rotate
360°.
The floor counterweight is available in marble in 3 finishes or powder-coated steel and has a steel plate at the top to facilitate gripping for easy movement.
Moving the weight causes the light body to rotate until it can complete a full 360° turn.

The freestanding version, equipped with a marble base, makes the lamp system stable and easy to move. Power is always supplied from a wall outlet. All adjustments remain possible to raise or lower the light body by winding the cable around the bollard.
When even the power supply
is a design piece.
Studying a lamp in the smallest details meant considering the transformer as an integral aesthetic part of the project. The transformer becomes an exhibited component: enclosed in a steel cylinder with the recessed dimmer, it is an element not to be hidden, but rather to be placed in the most convenient position to turn on or dim the light, if not already provided in the switch that controls the outlet.

The R&D team, working with a keen eye on continuous technological and material innovation, has come up with new finishes that make up a rich color palette: alongside shades of gray, natural materials such as solid woods and brass, and finishes derived from nature such as eco-touch composed of cork, linseed oil and jute.
